Hexagon, Senior Computer Vision Engineer

Vukasin Rankovic is a Senior Computer Vision and AI Engineer working on 3D perception and real-time AI systems.

He currently works on computer vision and 3D perception technologies at Hexagon, with a focus on depth estimation, depth completion, segmentation, and efficient deployment of deep learning models. His work spans the full research-to-production pipeline, including model development, CUDA, TensorRT, and high-performance C++ and Python systems.

Previously, Vukasin spent eleven years at Microsoft, working across projects including Bing Local Classification, HoloLens 2, Microsoft Avatars and Teams, and Holoportation. His work on HoloLens and Holoportation focused on computer vision and 3D technologies for mixed-reality and telepresence systems.

He graduated from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, with a degree in Computer Engineering and Information Theory.

Vukasin is also a co-founder and long-time organizer of PSIML, an intensive annual summer school in Serbia focused on machine learning and artificial intelligence. Through PSIML, he has been involved in educating and mentoring students, connecting academia and industry, and helping develop the local AI research community.
